This blog is dedicated to the family of Charles Stuart Martin, Jr. I have been learning about and collecting information on many of his ancestors and would like for it to be available to his family to see and to add to.
These are the only pictures I know about that we have of Dale. He was such a beautiful baby. I would love to have stories from his brothers and sisters about their anticipation for him to join their family and their reactions and feelings when he was not able to as they had planned. Aren't we blessed to know that families are forever!!
I remember the day Dad brought Mom home from the hospital. My siblings and I expected to meet Dale. We were all crushed when we learned that Dale was no longer in this life, but what stands out in my mind was George's reaction. He ran into the house for a second or two then burst out of the door sobbing uncontrollably. He put his head in his hands and cried for at least 20 minutes. Bert and Jean were also very upset. I was almost 12 when Dale briefly made his necessary appearance here on earth. My older siblings reactions surprised me. I often wonder what our little brother would mean in our lives. I know he had to come here to gain a physical body and I remember knowing that on 15 May 1961.
